Oh wow – great pics! Well done
And thx for the likes, too!
Thank you! I liked the photos on your blog very much. I plan to go back and view some more this weekend.
Great – always welcome
Oh how I want to live there!
Hey,
Nice blog you got here and the pics are wonderful.
Lisa
Thank you very much!
Seems like am in my fairy tales
These are beautiful pictures of wonderful-looking places. I love the sky backdrop in the first , and I especially love the last one: where is it?
I am very happy you enjoyed the photos. The last one is the Taranto Castle (also known as the Castle Sant’Angelo) in Italy.
Wow, they are some awesome castles!
Wow, awesome castles!
Glad not to have the maintenance issues, especially dampness. What complexities were overcome to create such magnificent structures in the day! I remain completely impressed.
thanks for visiting my blog. I will need a lot of time to read all your nice posts on your blog, but I am sure I will find it.
They certainly knew how to build castles back then. They are fantastic photos.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Every one a cover for a child’s book
So very cool……good job!
Damn, these are stunning, more please……
I have a wish to stay a night at a castle; someday I will!
Lovely photos.
May your wish come true!
I have seen that first Castle so many times, but usually it is in lots of pieces and we have to put it together, we have two jigsaw puzzles with it.
I fancy living in the bottom one …
These photos are beyond beautiful!
Fairytale indeed. Tales are generally illustrated with the first variety of castle now, following Disney’s take-up of the stories, though as a child I read stories with castle with crenellations rather than turrets.
I wouldn’t like to clean those places, but it would be fun to live out my princess fantasy there. BTW, did you take the photos? They’re are something!
You are right, cleaning those places would not be my kind of fantasy either. I did not take these photos. Please click on each one of them to go to the author’s page.
Love castles. Brilliant work.
amazing!
Great work.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I’m not an experienced photographer (that should be obvious) but I do enjoy sharing my garden. Come back anytime.
Of course, I will! I am dreaming of a garden, but for now, I have to settle for photos.
hey there! I am going to be leaving maddiesplace soon. Hope to catch up with you at palmtreesandlemonade.com Same everything, just new name. Thanks for all your support! Have a great weekend.
great photos. We love castles! Have you photographed any in Provence?
These are not my photos. Please click on each one of them to get to the author.
oh, i misunderstood. Thank you for clarifying.
Shared your post on my FB page! Nice pictures and theme for your blog. I understand that they are not yours – good blog post!
Thank you for the visit and for the lovely comment. My only intention is to share these amazing images with as many people as possible, to spread the joy and the good feelings they bring me.
I like the first castle the best. It looks so much like those in the Disney movies. ^^
Glad you stopped by for some virtual apple cake today, so that I could go castle-visiting with you in return!! I was at the “Disney” castle many years go. It’s magnificent. Wales has some beautiful castles as well.
Your apple pie looked delicious! I will have to go to Wales (virtually, for now) to see those castles and I also plan to try out the apple pie recipe. Thank you for the visit!
My pleasure. The apple creation is a cake, even easier than a pie to make, and wonderful. I’m looking forward to trying more from the cookbook. We could visit Wales virtually and have a virtual picnic with apple cake for dessert. But since it’s a German apple cake, maybe the Rhine area would be more appropriate.
oh wow! really wonderful pics here.
Just gorgeous !
I love the symmetry of the centre castle. Stunning buildings.
all so different, all so beautiful. I’d love to see a follow up fairy tale post on little cottages in the woods.
There is a pretty nice little-big cottage in the post “Mountain Houses” (middle image)….might not be exactly IT, but it comes pretty close to a fairy tale cottage in my opinion, a luxury fairy tale that is. Thank you for the suggestion though, I will put it on my list!
Where are these castles? So beautiful…
The first one (Neuschwanstein Castle) is in Germany, the second one (Chambor Castle) is in France and the last one (Taranto Castle) is in Italy.
Great pictures, and truly lovely castles.
Best regards,
Pit
P.S.: Burg Eltz in Germany might be another one to add to the list of “fairy-tale castles”.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will have to look it up.
Daniela.
Hiya! Thanks for stopping by and liking my post Garden in the City. Did you visit this castle in Germany? I would love to see it in person since we live in Frankfurt now.
No, unfortunately, I did not visit it.
really beautiful pictures, I would really like to visit some of those castles
Beautiful pics and thanks for the likes!!!!
Hi, thanks for liking my post. My name is Samuel L. Collins and I’m 14 years old. I star in http://www.searchforbiblicaltruths.com; an adventure, travel, indiana jones type of show. I”d love to film in the Castles you have photographed. Where are they? Sam
Hi Sam,
Thank you for stopping by!
To answer your question, the first one (Neuschwanstein Castle) is in Germany, the second one (Chambor Castle) is in France and the last one (Taranto Castle) is in Italy.
Daniela.
Love your castles, thanks for visiting my blog. I’m a total noob
Gorgeous– but I’m glad I don’t have to mow that lawn or clean that swimming pool… : )

That first one looks like Neuschwanstein! I have a poster of it by my stairs.
The first one is Neuschwanstein.
Absolutely beautiful pictures! Makes you want to go there.
Wonderful choices! I have visited the first two, Neuschweinstein in Bavaria and Chambor in France. They truly are magnificent! Romania has some pretty awesome landmarks and castles, maybe you’ll check them out some time.
